Purbasha enters solar energy

Purbasha is entering solar energy. The decision is not a pivot and it is not a press release. It is the next piece of infrastructure in a group that has spent fifteen years building supply chains for essentials.

We are starting where we have the most control: our own roofs. Over the coming year we will commission solar arrays across our manufacturing site in Ishwardi and our warehousing footprint, sized to offset a meaningful share of the load we already carry. Powering our own operations first is how we learn the engineering, the maintenance, and the economics before we sell a single kilowatt to anyone else.

Why solar, and why now

Bangladesh's grid is expanding, but industrial demand is expanding faster. Every factory operator in the country knows the arithmetic: energy is one of the largest and least predictable lines on the balance sheet. Solar changes the shape of that cost: capital expenditure up front, then decades of power at a price you fix on the day you build.

We already move food, fuel our own fleet, and run a certified factory. Generating the power that runs it is not a new business. It is the same business, one layer deeper.

The through-line here is the one that runs through everything we do. Purbasha builds systems that move essentials. Energy is the most essential input of all.

What we are building first

The initial phase is deliberately unglamorous:

• Captive rooftop generation at the Pabna factory, sized against our own metered demand.
• Warehouse and cold-chain arrays to protect the most energy-sensitive parts of the supply chain.
• A monitoring and maintenance discipline we can later offer to industrial clients as a service, not just a product.

We are not announcing a gigawatt. We are announcing a start, measured in panels we own and power we can account for.

The longer horizon

Once captive generation is proven, the division scales outward, first to industrial neighbours who share our load profile, then to utility-scale development as Bangladesh's energy transition matures. Solar sits alongside our emerging electric-mobility and real-estate divisions as part of the same thesis: clean infrastructure, built to last, owned outright.

Nature and purity were always the promise. Now they mean clean power too.
