Supply Chain Manager
Own the flow of commodities from origin to counterparty, planning, procurement, and delivery across a book that has moved more than $50M in essentials.
About the role
Our commodity trading arm supplies maize, soybean meal, rice, wheat, and sugar at bulk scale to feed millers, food manufacturers, and institutional buyers. As Supply Chain Manager you own the physical and commercial flow behind those trades, from securing origin supply to landing product with the counterparty on the terms we promised. This is a role for someone who is happiest when a shipment arrives on time, in full, and without anyone needing to ask.
You will work between the trading desk, our own Bela Transport fleet, and our suppliers in Bangladesh and abroad. The job is equal parts planning and problem-solving: forecasting demand, holding suppliers to their commitments, and keeping every truck, container, and letter of credit moving in step.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage end-to-end supply for the commodity book: sourcing, inbound logistics, storage, and final delivery.
- Negotiate procurement terms with suppliers and coordinate LC and TT documentation with the trading and finance teams.
- Coordinate transport across our owned fleet and third-party carriers to hit delivery windows reliably.
- Track inventory, in-transit stock, and demand forecasts, and flag risk before it becomes a delay.
- Build supplier relationships that hold up when the market is tight, not just when it's easy.
Requirements
- 5+ years in supply chain, procurement, or trade operations, commodities, agri-inputs, or FMCG preferred.
- A working command of import/export documentation, Incoterms, and LC/TT mechanics.
- Comfort with logistics coordination and inventory planning under real deadlines.
- Fluent written and spoken English; Bangla essential.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
